By combining our passion for the majestic Ugandan longhorn cattle and the wines of Yonder Hill, we created our pinnacle blend – Ankole. As the southern sea breeze whistles through the vineyards, the rhythmic sound of their tusk-like horns tapping together completes an ancient song of wine and nature. This pinnacle blend is truly a special edition to our range of wines. Its smooth elegance can be enjoyed straight away, but, much like the growing horns of our Ankole cattle, it becomes even more impressive over time.
Ankole is our very limited edition reserve that is exclusively only available for purchase on the estate.

Description
Yonder Hill’s Pinnacle reserve is a harmonizing blend based on a dominant cultivar of just under 55% Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Franc. Blended together to create dry yet a complex flavours, naturally guided by our exceptional terroir.
The packaging of the Ankole bottle is art in itself. On the tissue wrap you will be mesmerized by compelling illustrations of the different Ankole horns shapes with their Bahima traditional names from Uganda so one can identify them in a herd. These are the bloodlines that our resident Benella herd has in their Ankole stud. Between the horn sketches you will find illustrations of the harvesting and entire bottling process from vine to bottle. The arrows will guide you through the process.
